20 Mar One trick to instantly lift your mood
We all go through dips. There are days when you feel low, when nothing seems to work, when you fail to see that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, when situations are beyond your control or you can’t get that thought of someone who hurt you or you simply can’t pinpoint a particular reason as to why you feel de-spirited… the instances are never-ending.
The other day, I reached out to an ex-colleague for some help. Not only did he refuse to help me but showed no signs of familiarity even. The conversation hurt me. I sulked for a few hours and tried distracting myself with tasks, but to no avail. I let it be. I believe there are moments when you should let the emotions wash over you.
But when the thoughts persisted the next morning, I told myself. ‘Enough!’. I had to take charge of me. I went out for a walk early morning. The cold breeze tingling my sense, I walked slowly looking up at the sky and saying a ‘Thank You’ for the beautiful day; ‘Thank You’ for my health; ‘Thank You’ for the time I have to take a stroll; ‘Thank You’ for the lovely weather I can enjoy… Then I sweated it out for an hour with rounds of brisk exercises.
When I returned home, the tasks I had scheduled for the day was delayed, but I was energetic not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well.
No human can hurt us, until we allow them to hurt us.
We need not depend on a anyone’s help, if we allow ourselves to be open to the Supreme Guidance. We are the creations of the Divine. And so we have the same Power and Light and Love in us to create the life we desire.
All we need to do is to be aware of this Truth at all times and get back to our true selves.
Be aware of the Force that’s guiding us. It comes to us through the whispers of our heart. Use our Inner Power to follow it. Paths will unfold, doors will open, help will come!
So…
The one trick to instantly lift your mood is spent some time with Nature. Take a stroll, thank the Universe. If you can’t, no worries. Sweat it out. You need not hit the gym for that. Just turn the music on and go wild in your bedroom.
